We are happy to announce that GivingWay now accepts crypto-donations!!!
$300 million dollars are donated in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin each year, with 106 millions of people across the world using cryptocurrencies. As a GivingWay partner, we want you to be able to tap into this growing market!
What is cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency (or “crypto”) is a digital currency that can be used to buy goods and services, but uses an online ledger with strong cryptography to secure online transactions. Cryptocurrencies work using a technology called blockchain. Blockchain is a decentralized technology spread across many computers that manages and records transactions. Part of the appeal of this technology is its security.
What does it mean that GivingWay accepts cryptocurrencies?
It means that donors who wish to donate to your organization, can now donate in Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT!
Why do I need crypto-donations?
The crypto-donation is meant to be another currency option and it may diversify your donor-base with younger donors. It doesn't replace any of the other donation options you currently have.
I don't really understand cryptocurrency - if someone donates to my organization in Bitcoin, how do I use this currency?
Don't worry about it! While your supporters donate in any currency they prefer (crypto or not), you will continue receiving your payouts in USD like you always did.
